Privacy Policy

The short version: this site has no forms, no accounts and no newsletter, so there is nothing for you to type and nothing personal for us to store. What remains is analytics, and this page explains it in full.

Who we are

Canada Benefit Dates ("we", "us") operates canadabenefitdates.com, an independent reference site for Canadian government benefit payment schedules. We are not affiliated with the Government of Canada. For anything in this policy, contact [email protected].

Information we collect

Information you provide: none. The site contains no contact forms, no comment sections, no newsletter signup and no user accounts. Emailing us is the only way to send us personal information, and we use that email solely to reply to you.

Information collected automatically: standard technical data through Google Analytics 4 and our hosting infrastructure: approximate location (city level), browser and device type, pages visited, time on page, and referring website. IP addresses are processed by Google Analytics for this purpose; we never see or store them directly. Our host and security provider, Cloudflare, processes connection data (including IP addresses) to serve and protect the site.

How we use this information

Analytics data tells us which schedules Canadians look for and which pages need improvement. That is the entire use. We do not build visitor profiles, we do not sell personal information, and we have no personal information to sell.

Advertising

The site is designed to carry display advertising (such as Google AdSense). When advertising goes live, advertising partners will set cookies to serve and measure ads, and this policy and our Cookie Policy will be updated the same day with the specific partners and cookies, along with a consent banner where required. As of the date above, no advertising cookies are active.

Legal bases (GDPR, for EU and UK visitors)

We process analytics data under legitimate interest: understanding aggregate site usage. You object by blocking analytics cookies in your browser or via the Google Analytics opt-out, and the site works identically without them.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA (Canada), GDPR (EU/UK) and CCPA (California), you hold rights to access, correct and delete personal information, to data portability, and to object to processing. California residents also hold the right to opt out of sale; we sell nothing, so there is nothing to opt out of. Email [email protected] and we respond within 30 days. Since we store no directly identifying data, most requests end with that confirmation in writing.

EU and UK visitors also hold the right to complain to their supervisory authority; Canadians to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Data retention

Google Analytics event data is retained for up to 14 months, then deleted automatically. Emails you send us are kept only as long as the correspondence requires.

Data security and transfers

The site is served over HTTPS through Cloudflare's global network. Analytics data is processed by Google, which may transfer it outside your country under its standard contractual protections.

Children's privacy

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we knowingly collect nothing from anyone, children included.

Third-party links

We link to canada.ca, provincial government sites and occasionally other sources. Their privacy practices are their own; review their policies before providing information there.

Changes to this policy

Updates appear on this page with a revised date, and material changes (like advertising going live) get an entry in the correction and change log.
